She has pioneered much of the current research in autism and dyslexia, and has written several books on these issues. Her book 'Autism: Explaining the Enigma' provides an introduction to the cognitive neuroscience of autism.
Her story "Emergency Society" was published in 1975 in an anthology edited by Philip Strick, called Antigrav. It was published by Arrow Books. It appears to be her solitary contribution to speculative fiction.
