  • Note: Fernando Eguidazu is the creator of a collection of more than 50,000 pieces of popular literature of the 19th and 20th century (the Colección Fernando Eguidazu), and the author of studies and articles on the subject, many of which he published under the pseudonym Fernando Martínez de la Hidalga (however, he is now better known to scholars of popular literature under his real name). In other activities, he is the Governor of the Bank of Spain and the former Minister of Foreign Affairs for the European Union; he has served in many other roles in public affairs, especially relating to commerce, and has held academic positions in the fields of business, economics, and history.
