Note: This is a pseudonym that belonged to Scion Ltd. and later Dragon Publications Ltd. (when it Scion fell to their printer, Dragon Press, and the publishing house was renamed). The name became quite popular and the most of the work under this pen name was created by John Russell Fearn but not all. For example, the earlier issues of Vargo Statten Science Fiction Magazine were edited by one of Scion's editors, Alistair Paterson. The magazine was renamed several times but editorship was always credited to Vargo Statten with later editorship falling to John Russell Fearn.
