Note: Colombo came to the USA in 1969 where she attended Fordham University. There she obtained a BA with a major in Philosophy and a minor in English. Later she completed her MA in Philosophy from the New School Of Social Research. Colombo is an Adjunct Professor of English at several colleges. Her first novel The Fablesinger was published in 1989 by Crossing Press. This novel, a fantasy depicting the myth and magic of the Caribbean, received many great reviews including ones from Kirkus Review and Publisher's Weekly.
