Wikipedia publisher article "Longman" reports 'T. and T. Longman', in partnership with nephew Thomas Longman (1730–1797) from 1754; the latter sole proprietor from the death of his uncle in 1755; Owen Rees as partner from 1794; two more partners admitted 1804.
Wikipedia biography "Thomas Longman" (the founder):
Thomas Longman (1699–1755), a wealthy orphan, completed apprenticeship to bookseller John Osborn, and purchased the business of William Taylor (1719 publisher of Robinson Crusoe) in 1724. "Osborn entered into partnership with Longman, and they traded as 'J. Osborn & T. Longman' at the sign of The Ship." Longman married Osborn's daughter and became sole proprietor after Osborn's death about 1734.
Nephew Thomas Longman became a partner in 1753.
