At least four other "Dragon"-titled novels by Yep have been published, as four of 10 volumes (as of 2012) in The Golden Mountain Chronicles, a series of children's historical novels that feature the Chinese and Chinese American experience. That series was inaugurated by Dragonwings (1975), a runner-up for the Newbery Medal in 1976, which remains his most widely held work in WorldCat libraries (2018-07-08).
