, although it is primarily the children who learn lessons in the Rodgers novels. In the first story, 13-year-old Annabel Andrews and her mother inhabit each other's bodies. In the third story, Annabel's younger brother Ben and her father do so.
has been adapted by Disney as a feature film three times, and once adapted as a Broadway musical that has been adapted as a Disney film (2018). The second and third stories were adapted as television films in 1984.
