  • The source for the 1992-00-00 date is unknown. Following the story is an advertising page for the Elric series novels. One statement is "Look for the first new Elric Novel in 12 years, The Fortress of the Pearl, 0-441-24866-7/$4.540". Ace released a HC edition in Oct 1989 and the PB edition mentioned in this ad was released Dec 1990. Following this is an ad for an uncut version of Heinlein's Stranger in a Strange Land which states "0-441-78838-6/$9.95 (Oct. 1991)(Large format-trade edition)". Thus it's likely this publication was published in 1991 but a 1992 printing is also possible.
