    • Undated 11th printing that states "First Roc Printing, July, 1993 / 20 19 18 17 16 15 14 13 12 11".
    • The authors Henry N. Beard and Douglas C. Kenney are credited on the title page with the byline "of the Harvard Lampoon." The front cover credits "The Harvard Lampoon" and the on the spine the credit is "Harvard Lampoon." Thus some web sites list the author of this title as "Harvard Lampoon" or "The Harvard Lampoon." The copyright (1969) is held by The Harvard Lampoon.
    • It's not clear if this is a sub-title or byline but on the title page just below the main title is "A Parody of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings." I decided to classify it as a byline and thus did not include it as part of the publication's title for this ISFDB record.
    • The cover artist is not credited nor is a signature visible.
    • This publication contains supporting material that is not part of the main story but is also unlikely to be published separately from the story.

      • Pages xvi to xxii – An essay titled Prologue – Concerning Boggies.
      • Pages 1 to 149 – The body of the story.
