The verification copy of the 1947 edition is a blue cover with a gold embossed figure identical to that on the red 1946 edition. The dj is a larger, full-color rendition of the same picture embossed on the cover. This edition uses larger margins and increased leading to stretch a 37 line per page book to a 30 line per page book, with slightly larger font, hence the 304 page 1946 edition becomes this 402 page edition. "Published simultaneously in Canada by Random House of Canada." "Designed by Stefan Salter", but dust jacket art uncredited. Tuck incorrectly says that this edition is 304 pages. He is, however, correct about the price for this edition.
