- Book Club Edition that does not state the price nor printing date. The copyright is 1957, 1958, 1959 by Fantasy House Inc. The gutter code is "4" on page indicating a January 1959 printing/manufacturing date. A gutter code of "45" appears on what is probably a reprint.
- Prior to verification this ISFDB publication record was dated 1959-03-00 and priced at $1.20. The source of this information is unknown but is assumed to be correct. The book is reported as being the March 1959 SFBC selection but the source of this report is unknown.
- The front flyleaf states "Jacket design by Arthur Renshaw" and the cover artwork is signed "Art Renshaw".
- There are vignettes between many of the stories. These are not listed in the main table of contents but on the following page is a second table of contents that lists these.
- Each of the stories is prefaced by an editor's introduction about the author with the preface to Gil Braltar on page 127 also having an introduction for the translator, I. O. Evans, of a Jules Verne story. The introduction for C. M. Kornbluth is over a page long as it's also a memorial for this author.
- Pages 24 and 239 contain vignettes titled Through Time and Space with Ferdinand Feghoot in both the table of contents and in the body of the publication. These are two episodes of a long running series. The story titles have been suffixed with (January 1958) and (August 1958) respectively to give them unique names while also reflecting that they have the same name in this publication. Alternative subtitles for these could be In 2916 and In 2916 respectively as the stories start out In 2916
and In 2916
though it's not known if this is a theme for the entire series.
- An essay titled C. M. Kornbluth: A Memorial Bibliography appears on pages 161 and 162. This is not listed in the table of contents. The first part is a note that Cyril Kornbluth had been a prolific writer in his teens and was writing under eighteen or nineteen pseudonyms at the time with some of these also being collaborations with as many as five other writers, none of who recall who wrote what. Following this is a bibliography that focuses on novels and collections.
