    • One of The Masterpieces of Science Fiction series, indicated by the logo printed on the endpapers.
    • No ISBN, no printed price, and no dustjacket as issued.
    • The uncredited illustrative cover design is repeated on the back.
    • Pages are gilt-edged and there is a cream satin bookmark bound into the book.
    • The frontispiece, credited on the title page and the copyright page, is on the page facing the title page.
    • There is also a full-color illustration on an unnumbered plate bound between pages 86 and 87.
    • The first numbered page [7] appears 8 pages after the introduction which is 7 pages long. The unnumbered pages before page 7 have been counted and 6 have been removed to account for the unusual pagination.
    • "Collector's Notes" (uncredited) are on a double-sided laid-in sheet.
    • This edition is a facsimile reprint of the 1958 Ballantine edition.
    • Locus1 dates this as June, 1989, but this cannot be confirmed because of the difficulty in determining the publication dates of Easton Press editions.
    • Verified copy was purchased for approximately $40.00 from the publisher.
