Next page has an advertisement for "The Youth's Library of Wonders and Adventures", which includes several Verne books, consistent with a 1876 publication date, but only single volumes, so this is unlikely to be part of that series. The first table of contents ends on numbered page viii, but the novel begins with page 9 (unnumbered) and ends on page 248. A half-title page follows, then a page with an ad for "The Jules Verne Library" (again single books) then the start of the table of contents which has roman numeral for page numbers (counting back would make the half title page iii).
