    • The price was 1 guinea per volume, i.e. 21 shillings. The price listed above is for the full 10 volumes, without conversion to pounds.
    • "Limited to one thousand numbered sets." At head of title: "A plain and literal translation of the Arabian nights' entertainments."
    • "From the more than 30,000 prospectuses sent, 2,000 orders were received for the first 10 volumes at one guinea per volume. The edition was, however, kept at 1,000 sets." (Christie's)
