There is considerable difference between the interior art of this e-zine and the equivalent paper fanzine edition. Multiple items of interior art for several artists have therefore been listed by number encompassing the two Journey Planet #4 editions, with some items appearing in only the paper fanzine or the e-zine, and some items appearing in both. William Rotsler has several items of interior art across both issues of this fanzine.

    • The essay 'Why Do You Read Science Fiction?', a series of questions to correspondents, appears under the heading 'The Answers', below which appears the title of the circulated questions, 'Why Do You Read Science Fiction?'.
    • Cover also appears as 'interior art' on page 46.
    • Letters appear under a section titled 'The LoC Box', edited by Claire Brialey.
    • 'An Afterword from Claire' is uncredited but evidently written by Claire Brialey.
