    • The introduction, the novel and the afterword are all numbered separately. The introduction and afterword in Roman numerals and the novel in Arabic. The introduction page-numbering is prefaced with a "i" and the afterword page-numbering if prefaced with a "ii" to keep them separate. The actual title of the introduction only appears in the book and not in the table of contents.
    • Interior art credited on copyright page: "Background for frontispiece from a 17th century engraving modified by Christina. Duffy and horse drawn by Anne Trembley."
    • The original announcement was for 525 copies in cloth and a 100-copy leather-bound edition.
    • The copyright pages lists 4 states: Deluxe: 0-940-841-11-8. Leather: 0-940-841-12-6. Trade: 0-940-841-13-4. Library: 0-940-841-14-2.
    • The limitation page states that "Eight hundred and twenty-five copies of the Drawing of the Dark have been bound in cloth and numbered. Eight hundred will be offered for sale."
    • The Science-Fantasy Publishers by Chalker & Owings (3rd Edition, 1991, page 242) states that 50 copies were bound in paper (v+268+iv pages) and sent to investors in November, 1988 to prove that the book was actually in production. In 1991 the book was re-typeset and 68 copies were bound in Skivertex (iv+310+iv pages) with 8 being used for presentation and 60 going to two Oregon book dealers who were investors in the press. "Several hundred" were sent to the bindery and destined for distribution and sale.
