Photo-offset copies of the original bound in red cloth with quarter crushed red morocco spine lettered in gold bottom to top THE SHUNNED HOUSE—LOVECRAFT—1928. Copies have been observed with a copy of the Arkham House copyright cancel but without the Cook 1928 copyright underneath. Roy A. Squires (in Jaffery, below) states that the binding alone does not denote a forgery as legitimate copies of unbound sheets may have been eventually bound similarly.
