    • No ISBN, no printed price, and no dustjacket as issued.
    • The uncredited illustrative cover design is repeated on the back.
    • Pages are gilt-edged and there is a white satin bookmark bound into the book.
    • Published in both green- and red-leather versions. The order of each printing is unknown.
    • The frontispiece, credited on the title page and the copyright page, is on the page facing the title page.
    • "Collector's Notes" (uncredited) are on a double-sided laid-in sheet.
    • This edition is a facsimile reprint of the 1980 Harper & Row edition.
    • This edition reprints the author's introduction for the 1976 reprint.
    • Locus1 dates this as March 1993, although it is hard to determine the publication date of Easton Press editions.
    • There are four full-page B&W illustrations on unnumbered pages with the artist signature "LBKF". The full-color frontispiece is signed in Kelly Freas' distinctive signature. The title page credits "Illustrated by Frank Kelly Freas and Laura Brodian Kelly Freas" without making a distinction about what each artist did, either separately or in collaboration. Credit for this record is based on the artist's visible signature
