- Price is from lists (5 found) of new publications in September- and October-dated issues. Two from October may be quarterly lists: "List of New Works Published in the Months of June, July, and August, 1813" British Review and London Critical Journal 5.9 p267; and "Quarterly List of New Publications, from August, to November 1813" Edinburgh Review p246. There is a short listing without comment in the February 1814 next issue of The British Review (#5.10 p535), as new works published Dec, Jan, and Feb. Hardcover format is from the most complete of five listings (Brit Rvw #5.9), in full: "Tales of the Dead ; principally translated from the French. Crown 8vo. 9s. boards." None of 5 listings names a publisher or contributor.
