    • Sub-title differs from the tp edition on the title page and cover, here it is "A New Anthology of Science Fiction".
    • No printed price.
    • The cover artist is not credited.
    • "Conversations with Unicorns" is stated to be from The Fat Man in History, published by University of Queensland Press. Further research indicates that this collection was first published in 1974 (ISBN 0-7022-0899-X [hc] & 0-7022-0900-7 [pbk]).
    • There isn't an acknowledgement for the John Foyster story, previously published in 1972, as by John Ossian.
    • There isn't an acknowledgement for the Lee Harding story, previously published in 1970.
    • The introduction impiles that the Broderick & Romeril story was first published in a mainstream magazine earlier. The MUP Encyclopaedia of Australian Science Fiction & Fantasy indicates that it was originally the popular/pop Australian magazine "Man" in August 1967, and Broderick not acknowledged as co-author at the time.
    • Earlier publication of the Dal Stivens story isn't acknowledged. The date is confirmed as no later than 1953 in Paul Collin's MUP Encyc. of Aust'n SF. It's in The Gambling Ghost and Other Stories (1953) , but the introductory material in that collection states that some of the stories were previously printed in various magazines, without being specific as to which ones.
    • Earlier publication of the Cook story isn't acknowledged, however it is implied (the author died in 1967, 10 years before), although The MUP Encyclopaedia of Australian Science Fiction & Fantasy only lists 1977.
    • The Wilder story is specifically stated to be in print for the first time.
    • The Wilding story is probably in print for the first time, although it is not specifically stated. The MUP Encyc. only lists 1977 in this anthology.
