This title is so listed to the end of the year (latest found, -12-24) and previously listed as "Cloth gilt, price 5s." (in "[RWR]'s List of New Books"; earliest found, -10-08). The collection of advertisements found in the weekly Athenaeum implies October and November publications.
  • Bennett is credited as Charles Bennett on the cover. Title page (quote): related and illustrated by C. H. Bennett, in twelve "stories." Some library records credit the engravers, Dalziel Brothers.
