    • "Centenary edition" This is a reprint, during the centennial year of MacDonald's birth, of the 1920 reissue of the 1904 Fifield edition. (OCLC 1008482093 states "Originally published in 1867" in mistaken reference to Dealing with the Fairies, which contains only 5 of the 8 stories, and 12 full-page illustrations by Hughes.)
    • Library records abbreviate the title. The full 1904 title, including lead article "The", is displayed in the header of the Morrell review.
    • List of Contents is from the 2006 Dover "unabridged republication" of the 1920 edition, The Light Princess and Other Fairy Tales (see).
    • Library records (BL and OCLC, below) report 435 pages and: -- edited by Greville Macdonald -- title page and 13 illustrations by Arthur Hughes This identifies the edition as a reissue of the 1904 Fifield.
    • Price is from "A Mountain of a Man", The Spectator Lit. Suppl. 1924-10-18 p560, a review by Philip Morrell of three Allen & Unwin publications this year.
    • May publication inferred (and price stated) from The Scotsman 1924-05-24, "Books Received", listing of Lilith and Fairy Tales as "Centenary editions, with prefaces by the writer's son Dr Greville Macdonald." --taken in context of major coverage in the same issue, p6 "George MacDonald: A Centenary Biography", and in other publications this week, of the son's joint biography George MacDonald and His Wife (George Allen & Unwin, 21/-), a new work.
