- Two publisher advertisements both report "[12/Twelve] Fantastic Tales", price 7/6 net: • The Spectator -11-22 p38, "An elegant volume, expensively bound and printed on cream-laid paper, with a distinguished pictorial dust jacket. A perfect Christmas book." • Manchester Guardian -12-05 p33, with image showing most of the jacket, front and spine, matching the image linked here. Neither mentions interior illustrations. Nor do two "Books Received" listings, November, nor two reviews, December.
