    • According to The Science-Fantasy Publishers by Chalker & Owings (3rd Edition, 1991, page 158) there were 3,497 copies printed with 500 being issued with a tipped-in signature sheet. Some copies were also missing free end-papers in the back due to an unknown problem at the printer. They also note the interior artist, Robert Breck, as the cover artist even though Donnell is correctly identified on the dustjacket and his signature is clearly visible on the cover.
