  • Note: London publishing partnership Henry Colburn and Richard Bentley, 1829 to 1832 Wikipedia's biography of Colburn states (December 2018), "In 1830 Colburn took his printer, Richard Bentley into a partnership, which was the dissolved in August 1832." Its Bentley biography is more informative and more convincing. It dates the partnership and dissolution agreements 1829-06-03 and 1832-09-01, and notes that Bentley acquired the "materials and copyrights owned by the firm, including the Standard Novels series". The aftermath was unusually bitter. The New Monthly Magazine was published by Colburn from 1814 to 1845. From 1829 to 1834 only, title pages of the three annual volumes (printed when?) name both Colburn and Bentley thus (all caps, one or two lines, hyphenation varies): • Henry Colburn and Richard Bentley, New Burlington-Street. (1829/30/31) • Published for Henry Colburn by Richard Bentley, New Burlington Street. (1832/33) • Published for Henry Colburn by Richard Bentley : Sold by all booksellers. (1834) That is, vols 25-42 (bound volumes viewed at HathiTrust).
