  • Note: Name : Presses de la Cité - Futurama Superlights (also kwnown as "Futurama 3ème série"). Note that "Superlights" or "Super Lights" is in fact a brand of cigarettes (manufactured by of Philip Morris and sold in France) whose ad is on back cover of all titles. Publisher : Presses de la Cité Paris Period of activity : 1982 to 1986 Series' Editors : not credited. Number of titles in the series : 34 Numbering system : straight numeric from 1 to 34 (no holes). Format : paperback, 11 x 17.5 cm, stayed the same during all the life of the series. Length : volumes usually runs to about 220 pages with a lot of variations in length. Note that some titles were presented as "Volumes Doubles" (probably for pricing reasons) even if they aren't among the longest. Presentation : stayed the same with white lettering over blue cover. The logo evolved twice. The first change was for #27 then it evolved again immediately for #28. Artists : Original commisonned covers mainly by Raymond Hermange . Reprinting policy : No reprints are known to this day. Origin of texts : The titles were mostly taken from other french publishers' catalogues (Le Masque, Albin-Michel or OPTA) with only a few originals (the Serling collections for exemple). Note the absence of non anglo-saxons authors as in the other Futurama series. Bibliographical data present on the books : AI and ISBN are always present. The illustrators are generally credited. The english titles of the books are generally given (note the inversion between #26 & #27) but not the individual titles of the stories. Content : A few collections even if they're sometimes not indicated as such. Other bibliographical data : only four titles have a price (the "Volumes Doubles"). A detailled catalog of the series is sometimes present.
