  • Publication Series: Albin Michel - Super-Fiction Pub. Series Record # 201
  • Note: Name : Albin Michel - Super-Fiction (usually known as "3ème série"). Publisher : Editions Albin Michel 22 rue Huyghens 75014 Paris. Period of activity : 1975 to 1983. Series' Editors : George H. Gallet & Jacques Bergier then George H. Gallet alone. Number of titles in the series : 58. Numbering system : straight numeric from 1 to 58 (no holes). Format : paperback, 11 x 18 cm, stayed the same during all the life of the series. Length : at first usually runs to 250 pages then drops to 210+ for the end of the series (the last one is the shorter of all). Presentation : stayed the same, illustrated cover on metalized foil with black lettering. Artists : at first stock covers (mainly from British publications), then a mix of original artwork and the use of the original covers (e.g. DAW publications). Reprinting policy : none know to this day, there is a possibility that #26 (Les Enfants du Joyau) has been reprinted as the april 1978 printing is out of sequence (the date of publication is not coherent with those of the numerically following titles). Origin of texts : some come from "Le rayon fantastique", the rest are first French translations or (rare) PBO by French authors and (even rarer) by authors from other countries. Bibliographical data present on the books : Dépôt Légal is always present, AI is generally on the book (sometimes without day), so is ISBN. The illustrators are at first generally not credited. The English titles are generally given (with the notable exception of #34) with original copyright dates for the novels. Author's names are sometimes mangled (Colin Rapp). Content : only novels (or books presented as such).
