Volume one only contains a numbered statement of limitation signed by Wells, and begins with Wells's "A General Introduction to the Atlantic Edition". As of May 2020 we show 4, 10, 8, and 6 volumes published each year from 1924 to 1927. The whole is sometimes called the 1924 Atlantic Edition. Wells revised some works for this edition. Folio Society editions of his two most famous novels contain the 1924 texts, The Time Machine BL 013048642 and and The War of the Worlds BL 013048661.
