  • Note: "The Myths" Canongate publisher Jamie Byng conceived the project in 1999 and recruited other publishers. The first 5 volumes were released on Friday of the annual Frankfurt Book Fair in October 2005, at least in their original languages. A Short History of Myth by Karen Armstrong (if not all three English-language originals) was published on the same day in 33 countries and 28 languages.
