Note: Weekly magazine that was first published by Moewig as owned by the publishing house Heyne, then by Pabel-Moewig in ownership of the publishing house Heinrich Bauer; today the magazine is published by Heinrich Bauer. The magazine was initiated by the publisher's chief-editor for men's fiction Kurt Bernhardt who asked Clark Darlton and K. H. Scheer to develop a plot outline for the first ten novellas of the novellas that are the main content of every issue. A list of the plot editors can be found here, but note that ideas were supplied by all responsible editors and contributing authors. The regular publication day-of-the-week was changed on several occasions. The first issue was reportedly published on Friday, the 8th of September in 1961. The mysterious 'surplus' issue was identified to have been published in May or June of 1972 (see that year), either as a double publication (with two issues published simultaneously) or as a short-lived try on a change of publication day, that took longer term effect only in 1973. Note that Perrypedia on the whole is a trustworthy site on the series, but obviously has still some problems with the correct dating of some issues.
