Note: Sirius was the most important SF Magazine in former Yugoslavia and Croatia. It had been continuously published from 1976 to January 1990. The magazine was named after the brightest star by Damir Mikuličić. Sirius had published stories from around the world. It had also been the first publication venue for a lot of the new authors from former Yugoslavia. In addition to the stories, the magazine also contained Editor's Preface, Essays, Discussions about Stories, SF Books and Magazines Exchange. At its peak, its run was 40.000 copies and it became well known on the European SF Scene, leading to 2 European Science Fiction Society awards in 1980 and 1984. The 70s and 80s are considered the Golden Age of the Yugoslavian and Croatian Science Fiction and Sirius is part of the reason why.
