Note: According to Wikipedia, individual chapters of this book were originally published in 1890–96 as a series of essays in the British monthly literary magazine, "Nineteenth Century". The first book publication in English (William Heinemann in October 1902) collected and revised the essays. According to Kropotkin's introduction to the 1907 Russian edition as by 'Взаимная помощь среди животных и людей как двигатель прогресса', the first Russian edition (date unknown) was based on the 1890-1896 essays. The 1907 Russian edition was the first translation of the 1902 English edition and included further revisions.
