Synopsis: Young Amanda James befriends an alien being, whom she finds to be dwelling in a ramshackle outbuilding in the grounds of her parents' house, after leaving the city of London to go and live in the countryside. She then learns that SKELLY the alien comes from a sweet little planet known as Laktose, situated in a distant part of the Milky Way galaxy, and that he has been stranded on Earth since his space-egg crash-landed here many years earlier. Amanda also discovers that her new friend can mould his body into different shapes and, once he becomes disguised as a backpack with rabbit features, the duo embark upon a series of adventures, often in quite hilarious circumstances.
