Synopsis: This is a novel in which a version of the Judeo/Christian God or Elohim appears to have come to earth to collect his people. It's not the rapture that some people believe in but a different sort of plan having to do with the struggle between God and Lucifer. A synopsis provided by the publisher follows: A professor of psychology and anthropology, Dr. Reese Johnson, who specializes in religion and theology, is asked to interview a stranger who claims to be The Creator. Quite early in the interviews, he is struck with the depth of knowledge and the profound insights of the stranger who states that he prefers to be called Elohim. Dr. Johnson's training and past study have taught him the significance of this name. Although it is well known that Elohim is the Hebrew name for God, it is not as well known that the name was, at one point in our history, also a reference for the tier of angels from which Lucifer sprang. It was also, in Sumarian times, the name for a group of aliens from another planet who were thought to have colonized Earth. Reese, now faced with the dilemma of deciding whether he is dealing with God, the devil or a space alien, witnesses an event that he believes may be a miracle. At this point he comes to the conclusion that he is in over his head, and brings in some additional experts to help him to assess Elohim. Word leaks out, and the world is told that God is on Earth. The people and the governments react strongly to this polarizing news, and it is at that moment in time that Elohim chooses to share, with the world, the purpose for his visit and that he plans to do it in only five days. In a race against the clock, Reese must determine whether what is about to happen is something wonderful or something truly horrifying for all of mankind. A mysterious group rises up to oppose Elohim's plans as Reese struggles to satisfy himself of the stranger's authenticity.
