Synopsis: Burroughs submitted a long manuscript, a portion of "A Princess of Mars", to The All-Story Magazine on August 14, 1911, his first submission of any kind. Thomas Newell Metcalf, editor of that magazine replied with interest, but extensive suggestions, August 24. Two more letters concerning "Princess" followed. Included are three similar Metcalf to Burroughs letters concerning "Tarzan of the Apes", "The Gods of Mars" and "The Return of Tarzan" in 1912 and 1913.
