Synopsis: Parable (traditionally counted among Nesvadba's SF): A pirate writes down how he discovered paradisical island full of gold and became better. His philantropic society tries to protect it from plundering by either Captain Flint or the English queen but natives resist being drafted for self-defense, a conflict with the saviours breaks out and they are killed. Embittered narrator returns to piracy, wondering "where I made my mistake".
