- In Bretnor's 1980 essay The Feghoot Series he notes, "There had been one Feghoot -- a Super-Feghoot, containing not one dreadful pun or spoonerism, but three -- which appeared in the Journal of the Baker Street Irregulars. Needless to say, it was Sherlockian in nature , and Tony Boucher reprinted it in the last volume of his Best Detective Stories of the year. It also appeared in Special Wonder, the sf volume of the Boucher Memorial Anthology."
- The story begins: "By 2133, ten years after an Order in Council invested them with all rights to the entire Sherlock Holmes Canon, The Baker Street Irregulars had become a corporation of vast wealth and power. As shareholders, its members received fat annual dividends, and the privilege of membership was jealously guarded."
