Note: According to http://www.tarzan.com/bib/0770.html , this novella was originally written by Burroughs in 1922. The intended title was "Beware!" and the intended pseudonym was "John Tyler McCulloch". However, the novella didn't sell at the time and remained unpublished until 1939, when it was rewritten by the "Fantastic Adventures" editor Ray Palmer and published as "The Scientists Revolt" using Burroughs's name. The original 1922 text was restored in 1974 and published as "Beware!" in "Burroughs Bulletin: July 1974, #39", followed by a reprint of the Palmer version in "Burroughs Bulletin: August 1974, #40".
