Synopsis: When a treatment was discovered which could offer carefully selected humans the gift of indefinitely prolonged lifespans, there were many eager to become part of the top secret program. But the condition for obtaining treatment was than an individual must start life over on a distant colony world. And one important side effect of the treatment was the removal of all physical and psychological "defects". Only Reuben Flood, one of the original programmers involved in the longevity project, had found a way to beat the system, setting up special instructions within the master computer to leave his memories and personality intact after every treatment.
