The original Chinese title of this story, 伍秋月, transcribed as Wǔ Qiūyuè in the pinyin notation, represents a person's name : 伍, Wǔ, a family name meaning "five" or "fifth", and 秋月, Qiūyuè, a personal name meaning "autumn moon". It is graphically identical in simplified Chinese characters.
