Note: "There is no by-line since I honestly don't know who wrote it. It is from a story of my own, entitled "The Men of Sharra", but the poem came out of a meeting of the Vampyres in Albany, and I know, for certain, that at least two people besides myself had a hand in it. For instance, some of it, at least, is in the handwriting of Dot Quinn, and I have a distinct memory of Belle Kehl suggesting certain lines .... so perhaps if you said that all three of us wrote it, you wouldn't be far wrong."
