Synopsis: Prince Furibond banishes his cousin Leander, who in the woods befriends a snake. The snake is a fairy in disguise, and for his efforts gives him a scarlet cap that renders him invisible, and transports him anywhere, along with three magical flowers. The rest of the play is reasonably close to what you expect from that introduction. A full summary is available on Google Books, in "The Theatrical Times" of Dec. 30, 1846. Based on the Countess d'Aulnoy's Fairy Tale, "Prince Lutin".
