Synopsis: In "You Don't Say", in Izzard #2, Teresa took Terry Carr to task over his disparaging remarks of Trek fandom, and especially of women in Trek fandom. Here, she reports on several responses to that essay - including Carr's. The result is a dissection of the differences between involving oneself in forms of fandom that invite growth and exploration, and those that immerse themselves in a single, narrow universe -- whether it be Star Trek, Star Wars, Logan's Run, Darkover, SCA, Rocky Horror, etc.
