Synopsis: Man returns to his old apartment, troubled by the feeling that he forgot to do something important, though he cannot recollect what; tells the current tenant (the narrator) about why he moved out - his wife died when a spaceship to Jupiter exploded in space; her father was a scientist with an unusual ontological theory and she might have tried to test the theory while on board. A video recording from the spaceship is shown; a shadowy humanlike figure can be seen appearing for a short time; the narrator recalls an event from a few years back where he had encountered a similar shadowy being. A short discussion on the nature of time and reality follows.
