Synopsis: Chapter one of Granny's Wonderful Chair and Its Tales of Fairy Times presents most of the frame story that concludes in the last two pages of the final chapter nine, "Prince Wisewit Returns". It introduces granddaughter Snowflower and the story-telling chair, of fairy times in the distant past.
(Intervening chapters may contain bits of the frame story. Snowflower gains status in court as the chair tells quality stories.)
