Note: This supposed letter from Borges, praising the collection of stories it heads, was in fact written by Desleal himself (as a joke in the spirit of the master). However, at least one collection of Borges's nonfiction, El círculo secreto, edited by Sara Luisa del Carril and Mercedes Rubio de Zocchi (2003), mistakenly included it.
