Note: First published in Jiuzhou Fantasy 九州幻想, February 2010. The title was originally 太原诅咒, meaning "Curse on Taiyuan". Taiyuan is the capital city of Shanxi Province, where Cixin Liu resides. Because of censorship, the title had to be changed to 太原之恋, meaning "Love of Taiyuan" when it was first published. In many later collections of Liu, 太原诅咒 is often used.
