Synopsis: Don Antonio Spanish envoy in Vienna has committed crimes and cannot find peace. He receives a visit from a supernatural being who tells him that God has decreed that the city should be punished with a plague; and that Don Antonio can atone by spreading cholera, sparing none, with the vial full of disease he is given.
