Note: This novel was serialized in the Revista de España in 1870 and 1871. It was written much earlier, according to an author's note; Brian J. Dendle points out that the technology described and references to the "recent discovery" of Neptune (1846) place its composition in the late 1840s.
Synopsis: In 1822, a German scientist and a young Spanish man travel to the planet Saturn by balloon. Everything on the planet is a lot like on Earth except larger and more perfect, and the society is like Spain only more perfect also.
