"Ada M. Harrison" appears to be the canonical name of the writer at the British Library, Library of Congress, and WorldCat; but the national library records do not clearly report how she is credited on the title pages of 1957 and 1958 eds. of this work. There is some WorldCat and newspaper support for "Ada Harrison", and none found 2018-11-17 for "Ada M."
Synopsis:
"... it is a tall order to introduce into a normal English family [as the man of the house does] a rod made of yew which will double objects if one wishes hard enough."
--from a brief review in "Anywhere but here and now" by Mary Crozier, The Manchester Guardian 1957-04-12 p8 (positive)
The brief review by Kirkus is unusually negative (KirkusReviews.com, contemporary, undated online).
